    NEW 6x12 TINTENT 2.0 CARGO TRAILER CONVERSION

    woohoo! i just put a deposit down on a new miska 6x12 vnose cargo trailer for conversion into a camper

    some of the mods i ordered from the factory are:

    -18" tongue extension
    -charcoal gray exterior colour
    -rv latch on the side door
    -electric brakes
    -double barn door
    -manual roof vent


    Some of the mods i'll be doing:

    -stab jacks
    -insulation
    -power vent
    -windows
    -cupboards
    -a very large bed
    -shower
    -sink
    -propane demand water heater
    -cassette toilet
    -wired for 110v and 12v
    -solar panel
    -cell signal booster
    -awning
    -5,000 btu window shaker
    -shock absorber kit
    -replace interior plywood with lighter, thinner luan
    -relocate tongue jack to clear jeep spare and swing gate
    -add cargo box to extended tongue


    they claim 3 weeks delivery, last time they said that it took almost 9 weeks, but whose counting?

    this is the basic layout i'm looking at for cupboards, the tall cabinet on the left will be replaced with a shower stall

    Why not just buy a travel trailer and save yourself the hassle of doing all that work.

    a couple of reasons off the top of my head


    -kayak inside rear doors
    -fraction of the weight
    -fraction of the cost
    -more solid
    -narrower for fire/logging roads
    -can still be used as a cargo trailer
    -i choose the layout
    -not paying for usless bling and trim
    -it's just plain fun designing and building my own......like a jeep

    that's the plan, already have most of the materials. at least i ordered this trailer early enough to have it ready for use in the spring
