Old rings had .085" ring gap (.015" is max recommended).
Camshaft had one almost flat lobe on #2 Intake, was only getting .132" lift. So yea, this was one tired old 258.

Made some headway over labour day weekend.

Cam kit finally showed up so I can finish the motor today and get it bolted back up to the tranny. Still waiting on my TDK frame though so another roadblock in the build.

Slow month, other projects to attend to but have made some headway.

    Motor done.jpg

Put in a Comp Cams 260H complete kit so should help with a little more grunt then that tired old stock worn out cam. Unfortunately I'm still waiting on the frame so there it sits. Put new brakes on both axles and mounted the springs so they're ready to go once the frame finally shows up.
