Thursday we turned the key. After fixing a few loose fittings for the fuel it fired up. He was so excited to hear it again but this time with open headers. Saturday we loaded it on the trailer and took it to the show on Sunday. He had lots of people come check it out and started it a few times to make some noise.

That's coming together nicely ... and quick! It looks great and I'm sure you're both having fun with the project.

It's been forever since I updated this build, but we did take some time off (teenager stuff).
    Pictures are not in order.
We built some stainless dual exhaust with a glass pack mufflers, that was way to loud so we cut it off and made new dual exhaust with oval mufflers. The exhaust is done just don't have a pic.
The fuel tank is installed, it's a stainless one from the back of my jeep.
We installed some wipers from a spare window, because his Jeep never had any.
We had to make the brake booster fit (it had manual master before)
Then this weekend we masked it all up and sprayed Lizard skin insulation inside, it will really help keep the heat out from motor and sun.
We also modified a CJ7 roll bar to fit behind his cab, mainly just for looks.
Next we are building his roll cage inside the cab.

Sunday we started on Everet's roll cage. Worked out very well for our first time using the bender. We are using 1.5 DOM .120" wall.

    Only 1.5"? Isn't that a bit small?
