The Biggest Garage The City Would Let Me Build - Build

So figure some of you would be interested in this.

3 years ago we sold our first home and looked for a suitable home still within our community that was on a large lot and would allow for us to install an inground pool and large detached garage. No small feet but we happen to stumble upon a custom built home on a double corner lot.

The requirements for the garage were:

Room for 3-4 Full Size Vehicles
    Hoist
    Heated
    Washroom Facility
    Drive through front to back
    12' Doors
    14' Ceilings
    200amp Service
Carport/Shaded Area (Storage in the winter, BBQ lounge space for pool in the summer)
    Secure
    Visually Appealing (Wifes Call)

We hired a previous contractor who we worked with on our last home and got the ball rolling. We gave him a budget and he proceeded to get plans made along with quotes from the sub contractors. We then filed for the permits and waited. There were issues starting to happen with communication and at that time our contractor stated he would no longer be able to do the job due to being investigated by Revenue Canada. Great back to square one but nope he decided to hand over all his info and plans and permits at no cost to us. We took those items and hired a good friend to work with us to complete the job, that started 3 weeks ago.

Travis (our friend) is Baeumler certified and usually does high end renovations along with home flips. He is a one man operation which meant hiring subs where he would not be able to perform the work himself. It was quickly brought to our attention that likely our previous contractor under quoted the job and that was likely the reason for abandonment. Either way we were invested and decided to move forward with the project.

So i'll just post pics and little blurbs if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Without her it wouldn't be possible. Although she said she will likely never see me once its done. I offered her to have a sewing room and a second level but she declined.
